Frozen ready-to-bake La Rose butter croissants are a convenient and delicious solution for enjoying freshly baked croissants at home without the extensive preparation time. These croissants are prepared with high-quality ingredients, flash-frozen to preserve their freshness, and designed to bake up flaky, buttery, and golden brown.

Appearance:

  • Before Baking: The frozen croissants are typically shaped in their distinctive crescent form, with a smooth, pale dough exterior. They may look smaller and more compact due to being frozen and unrisen.
  • After Baking: Once baked, they expand significantly, developing a beautiful golden-brown color with a glossy finish if egg-washed. The layers become evident, showcasing the lamination typical of a well-made croissant.

Texture:

  • Before Baking: Firm and solid due to being frozen.
  • After Baking: The exterior is crisp and flaky, while the interior is tender, airy, and buttery with numerous delicate layers.

Flavor:

Frozen ready-to-bake La Rose butter croissants boast a rich, buttery flavor with a slight hint of sweetness. The taste is enhanced when served warm, bringing out the creamy, luxurious quality of the butter.

Baking Instructions:

  1. Thawing: Thaw the croissants in the refrigerator or at room temperature for 30 minutes to an hour until they are pliable and slightly risen.
  2. Preparation: Preheat your oven to the recommended temperature, usually around 350°F (170°C) or 375°F (190°C).
  3. Baking: Place the thawed croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Optionally, brush with an egg wash (one whole egg and one yolk) for a glossy finish.
  4. Baking Time: Bake for the recommended time, typically 15-20 minutes, until they are puffed up and golden brown, depending on the type of oven you use. We recommend using convection oven.
  5. Cooling: Allow the croissants to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.

Serving:

Enjoy these croissants warm, straight from the oven, to fully appreciate their flaky texture and rich flavor. They can be served plain, with butter and jam, or as part of a breakfast sandwich. They pair wonderfully with coffee or tea.

Storage:

Keep the croissants frozen until ready to use. They should be stored in an airtight container or the original packaging to prevent freezer burn. Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for the best shelf life, typically several months.
