La Rose Frozen ready-to-bake VIP butter croissants are a premium version of the classic French pastry, made with AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée) butter. This designation ensures the butter used is of the highest quality, originating from a specific region and made using traditional methods. These croissants promise an elevated taste experience with exceptional flavor and texture.

Appearance:

  • Before Baking: The croissants are frozen and appear in their classic crescent shape, with a smooth, pale dough exterior. Due to being unbaked and frozen, they look smaller and more compact.
  • After Baking: They expand significantly, developing a beautiful, golden-brown color with a glossy finish if egg-washed. The layers become visible, showcasing the precise lamination typical of high-quality croissants.

Texture:

  • Before Baking: Firm and solid due to being frozen.
  • After Baking: The exterior is exquisitely crisp and flaky, while the interior is tender, airy, and buttery with numerous delicate layers, thanks to the high-quality AOP butter.

Flavor:

AOP butter croissants offer a rich, buttery flavor that is more pronounced and nuanced compared to regular butter croissants. The taste is deeply creamy with a slight hint of nuttiness and sweetness, enhanced when served warm.

Baking Instructions:

  1. Thawing: Thaw the croissants in the refrigerator or at room temperature for 30 minutes to an hour until they are pliable and slightly risen.
  2. Preparation: Preheat your oven to the recommended temperature, usually around 350°F (170°C) or 375°F (190°C).
  3. Baking: Place the thawed croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Optionally, brush with an egg wash (one whole egg and one yolk) for a glossy finish.
  4. Baking Time: Bake for the recommended time, typically 15-20 minutes, until they are puffed up and golden brown, depending on the type of oven you use. We recommend using convection oven.
  5. Cooling: Allow the croissants to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.

Serving:

These croissants are best enjoyed warm to fully appreciate their superior texture and rich, buttery flavor. Serve them plain, with butter and jam, or as part of a gourmet breakfast sandwich. They pair wonderfully with a fine cup of coffee or tea.

Storage:

Keep the croissants frozen until ready to use. They should be stored in an airtight container or the original packaging to prevent freezer burn. Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for the best shelf life, typically several months.
